Strenghts and Weaknesses

This app has many very good aspects about it, however there are a few things that could make it even more engaging.

Strengths

  • Bright colorful pictures
  • Fun music
  • Narration to help the students understand what is going on
  • Easy to locate icons/buttons
  • Short and easy to understand sentences
  • Able to access the main menu from any slide.

Weaknesses

  • If you exit to the main menu from any slide, the user is not able to to go back to the slide they were on. They must start the activity over from the beginning.
  • There isn't much opportunity to get the student engaged in what they are learning. They view slides with good information on them, but the app doesn't allow them to review what they've learned at the end.
  • The students are able to be directly involved in the learning. It would be nice if the app presented some sort of game or activity to go along with the slides.
  • More opportunities to to apply these everyday situations to their own personal lives. Maybe the app could ask the user questions about their own experiences with these situations.
